Currently we have sand underneath and between flagstone but the sand is right outside our patio door and is a constant mess in the house. We'd like to plant a groundcover that will stop the sand problem to fill in between slabs. We're in the Sacramento area, full sun, very low plant meant to fill the gaps. Any suggestions?

  2. What about hens & chikcs? This grows in rock crevices.

  3. I’m from Ohio, but a good plant that we have here for a ground cover in situation like that is Isotoma fluvilatis, a.k.a. blue star creeper. It’s a REAL low growing plant that is pretty tough and tolerats sun and rocky areas very nicely

  4. Sedum, is a good ground cover for full sun, and there are several different varieties to choose from.
